Spring Time in Texas!

pfd237aaIt’s almost spring.  Today it actually feels like it, too.  Spring in Texas always brings on thoughts of road trips.  Road trips to see the blue bonnets.  I love seeing landscapes of nothing but the purplish blue flowers.  It’s amazing how they can cover an entire field for as far as you can see. The Texas Hill Country is known for its fields of blue bonnets every spring.  Maybe that’s why it’s the Texas state flower.

I also just bought myself a ‘spring time’ gift.  A new lap top.  And why for the spring time?  Well, because I’m going to be writing on my front porch swing at my new house.  I love it when it the weather is nice and I can sit and let the breeze whisper over me.  Something about being outside in the fresh air that allows me to slip into the  Shadow Falls world and walk around with Kylie, Della, Miranda and the rest of the campers.

As you know, I have sent Reborn off to my publisher. Whew! Again, it will be out May 20, pfd240-2aa2014 in the U.S.  So right now, I’m working on Della’s second book,  Eternal.  And I gotta say, I’m loving it.  Della is in full on sassy mood and is learning a lot of about growing up, love, friendship and even some heartaches.

So, is it your spring break now, too? I know the break is usually later up north. But here, it’s Spring break. Tell me, what are you guys doing?  Any fun plans?

  1. Well here in New York this week has been the warmest we had in a while. We still have snow on the ground and might get more.

  2. Today we have a little taste of early summer almost! Our high is 81, but then tomorrow the high is 40 with a chance of flurries and frozen mix. The weather is just crazy in the Midwest!

  3. For spring break I am spending time in Dallas with my cousins. Then we are all going back to Waco together and spending time with the rest of my family.

  4. Well, our school doesn’t give us a spring break… Most schools around us don’t either. If I did I would be in my room our with my family because the weather in Nebraska is VERY unpredictable! 🙂

  5. For us in California, spring break is next week. I haven’t made any plans, but I hope I will get a lot of time to do all the fun things I want to do since I have so much schoolwork and projects to do. I’ll definitely read one of my favorite books besides Shadow Falls over the spring break, City of Lost Souls.

  6. We got 2 days of 60 degrees and up but tomorrow we are getting snow again in Indiana:( our spring break starts at the end of march and my family and another family are going to Cancun Mexico! Some fun in the sun!!

  7. It’s Autumn here in Australia; the leaves will shortly begin to change hue and the wind blow more sharply. At the moment we are getting gorgeous days and lovely cool nights, perfect weather, really.
Enjoy your Spring days, they never seem to last long enough. 😉

  8. I have track-out, it counts as spring break though. I’m Year-Round so I’m on a diff schedule than traditional. I’m hoping to go somewhere for spring break though, we’ve been having some snow and ice so we’ll see.

  9. I’ll be spending time with my boyfriend, reading new books, and constantly tell him how much I like them like I always do. He loves listening about the books I read and he even reads some of them after I tell him about them(:

  10. We just had a snow storm in Chicago yesterday so spring break isn’t quite her yet. In fact I don’t think kids here have break until the first week of April. I think they try to give them a chance for some sunshine.

  11. Not spring break yet here :// Still have two weeks. But, I do get to go to California to get away from all the snow. 😀 I’m excited to get to read on the beach!

  12. It’s currently spring break in Florida and the weather is definitely starting to heat up. I’ll be catching up on books, research some scholarships and colleges, and do homework.

  13. Here in Maryland Mother Nature is just playing tricks on us. It’s spring, they say. Last week we got up to almost 70 degrees. Yet, today we had a snow day. SINCE WHEN DOES IT SNOW ON ST PATRICK’S DAY? ST PATRICK’S DAY IS SUPPOSED TO BE WARM! This winter has been messed up.

  14. It’s appropriate time to make a few plans for the long run and it is time to be happy.
