Book Trailer Giveaway!

I’ve had several book trailers made for my books. I’ve gotten great feedback on them. But I was wondering how effective they really are. Do you watch book trailers? Do they influence you to purchase a book? What kinds of trailers do prefer?

Here are the book trailers for Midnight Hour, The Mortician’s Daughter: One Foot in the Grave and This Heart of Mine. Tell me which one you like best and why. I’ll give a $25 Amazon gift card to one lucky person who leaves a comment.

Midnight Hour

The Mortician’s Daughter: One Foot in the Grave

This Heart of Mine

You know from my books that I love animals, and I usually add a dog or cat to my books. In fact, This Heart of Mine has a dog named Lady, after my current fur baby. Now I love Lady, but I had one dog, Jake, that really stands out. Jake will always hold a special place in my heart. You know, that one animal that decided you were the end all and be all. But I just wasn’t that keen on him at the start. Boy did that change! You can read my entire Jake story over at Furbaby Fridays. You can also read a new excerpt from This Heart of Mine, one that has hottie Matt with his dog Lady. So, be sure to pop over and read it.

  1. Hi C.C Hunter

just a quick one you have become my best Author of all time… I absolutely loved the shadow fall series!! Amazing!!

But About the trailers… I Live in South Africa and well I don’t see the trailers unless I go looking for them… they are really goo book trailers and after seeing them makes me even more in love, sort of like putting an image to a book…

If I’m going to be honest I stumbled upon your book by chance… I was in a book store and I saw the cover of your Reborn Book and I was drawn to this series, best choice so far….

in personal experience if the cover fascinates me then ill get the book…

    Hope this helps
    regards
    Claire 🙂

  2. I have only seen a few authors who have created book trailers but I do like the ones I have seen. They give the reader a great visual of the upcoming book.

    • I am so sorry, I forgot to anwser the one I liked best! I would have to say The Morticians Daughter because it was so mysterious. I was dying to read that book.

  3. I do usually watch book trailers after I finish the book because I like to see what characters the author would choose for her book, and they help me relate more to the book. I like the trailer for midnight hour the best because I love the location I like that it gives glimpses of what is going on in the book and I love the ending of the trailer with the tattoos and the invitation.

  4. I watch book trailers because it helps add to my vision and imagination on what the book will be about. I actually tend to purchase books that offer a book trailer. I don’t have a specific preference for a book trailer, although, the only downside to them is that when the book is really good, I wish they would choose to make an actual movie. The Shadow Falls series I LOVE and wish it would have a television or movie made from it. Great job C.C. Hunter
You are truly an amazing author!!

  5. I love seeing book trailers. It gives me a creative look at what the book is about. All three trailers look amazing, but my favorite is Midnight Hour. Shadow Falls captured my heart and drew me in. The Midnight Hour trailer really captured the magical conclusion to the series.

  6. I love the book trailer for Midnight Hour because I love all the characters of Shadow Falls and I can’t wait to see what happens with Miranda and friends!! Thanks for the great giveaway!! 😀

  7. I really like the trailer for The Mortician’s Daughter: One Foot in the Grave; the images presented in it and the haunting music in the background gives me chills, which makes me so badly want the whole series and binge read them.

  8. I love book trailers if they are done well (and yours are). It helps to create a sense of excitement for the book, to help you put it into visual form. It’s an added layer that an author can add to all of their promotion. There are so many things that I’ve seen in book trailers that make them appealing, various music, having their own actors, fun visual effects and so on. I appreciate when an author goes that extra step to encourage their fans to check out new books.

  9. I love book trailers! I like looking at the people they chose to play the book characters and how different or similar I had pictured them in my head. I also love when they bring a special moment from the book alive and then you read that part in the book and are like, “Hey, that’s what the trailer was about!” I liked This Heart of Mine’s trailer best because the actors were close to what I had pictured and it showed their adorableness in the scene they were laughing! It’s only missing Lady with them in the park. The other trailers are great as well…it’s hard not to like anything you do!

  10. I love the midnight hour trailer! I have purchased this series and am Looking forward to starting it. I love book tralers! Thanks for the chance.

  11. Lovely trailers, I like the one foot in the grave one, the music goes very well. Makes me anticipated for the book release. Thanks.

  12. I liked the Midnight Hour trailer the best. I loved all three books. Can’t wait for the second in Mortician’s Daughter series.

  13. I love them all! If I had to choose a favorite, I would have to go with Midnight Hour. It’s just so beautiful!!!

  14. I love book trailers because they are better than just reading the summary. You can see the action and how the characters look like. I don’t watch them often but I do watch them if it’s the book I want to read. This Heart of Mine is my favorite trailer because there is a lot of action and I want to read it now. I’m going to order it because of the trailer and can’t wait to read it. I can’t wait to see Leah and Matt’s adventure!

  15. I really like them all. But watching this heart of mine trailer makes me really wanna buy the book. It’s the only one I have not bought yet because of monetary not having much time to read it. But I do plan on buying it. I love all of your books.

  16. My all time favorite trailer is the one for Chosen at Nightfall. I absolutely adore the opening with the rain, the thunder, the woods… I have chills everytime I wtach it. I love everything about it and because of that, I had the idea to read the entire book with rain and storm sounds in the background. And boy, let me tell you how great it was. I never felt so immersed in a book! Ghosts scenes with Kylie never felt so real and spooky!
I usually watch trailers of the books I am excited/looking forward to read (wich means usually the second/third… book in a serie since I pretty most always discover the first one by myself when I am walking around bookstores).
I love trailer with good music in the background, a nice voice-cover if there’s one,…something that will make me dying to have the book in my hands already!
I can’t wait to discover new trailers from you and your future books. I’ll definetly be there to check them out!
    Love and support!
    Sarah.

  17. I love book trailer because you can see different people’s point of view on how the characters look like in their mind. I like how their is a theme going around and the beautiful background music. I watch book trailers often when it’s the book I want to read. I watched some of the Shadow Falls series (BEST SERIES EVER!) book trailers but it isn’t as good as your Midnight Hour book trailer. This one is my favorite book trailer because I love how Miranda has that beautiful tattoo on her back. This trailer tells me what is going to happen in the book and other details without spoiling it. It makes the readers what to read the book after watching it to see what happens to Miranda.

  18. I like the trailer for This heart of mine because I have read that book and it is amazing! The trailer to me fits perfectly with that book! It short and sweet gives you glimpses what the book is about and keeps you guessing so I would have to vote for that one even though they are all good. I sometimes watch book trailers it depends on how much I liked the book. If I watch a book trailer and have not yet purchased a book then yes they make me go out and buy it because the book trailers leave me in suspense. And by the way you are an amazing author, have loved all your books and thanks for this amazing giveaway.

  19. My favourite was The Mortician s daughter trailer. It was readable and music and graphics were appropriate for the content. Midnight Hour was unreadable. I kept trying to read the words and lost the effect of the rest.
